Customer Success Stories - Hayes and Jarvis

In 2004 Travology started helping First Choice Specialist Business (Hayes and Jarvis, Sovereign, Citalia, Meon and Exclusive Destinations) to find a new selling system.

The need for complete flexibility, dynamic sourcing and selling of products as well as a full e-commerce capability were part of a detailed and complex list of requirements.

Travology started by facilitating workshops to identify the business requirements of the 5 businesses. This process included streamlining the processes of 4 very different businesses whilst keeping their own identities.

A tender document was then created with several hundred detailed requirements that were sent to potentially suitable suppliers. Following their responses, detailed analysis and selection took place with the 2 most suitable suppliers being invited to present their solution to group workshops of business and technical representatives.

A selection was made in 2005 and Travology was then instrumental in the project management of the implementation of the first brand, Hayes and Jarvis USA and Canada which went live in April 2005.

Following the success of this, Travology continued its work to help Hayes and Jarvis go live on the new system in October 2005. This included a brand new Viewdata system, Net fares database, new GDS, fully bookable website and integration with key areas of First Choice’s businesses and systems such as finance and the Travelcat retail system.

First Choice has now rolled this solution out to their other specialist brands and the solution is being used by some of their European businesses.
