In 2002 Travology was appointed by Thomas Cook to help find and install a new reservations and selling system for a new concept to be able to package 3rd party products such as flights, accommodation, transfers and ancillary services. We all now know this as dynamic packaging, but at the time this was a completely new concept that required leading edge technology to support it.

The project involved gathering the business requirements, managing the tender process and selecting suitable suppliers to provide this ground breaking solution.

6 months later, the first phase of the project went live providing the first fully bonded facility to package and book components in one place. This facility was available in Viewdata, through trade and customer websites as well as a fully functional call centre and xml feeds to 3rd party distributors.

Following the success, the product and technology have evolved over the following years with Flexibletrips now being a market leader in the dynamic packaging market.
